 At about 14:52 UTC (7:52 AM Pacific, 10:52 AM Eastern)… just under 12 hours from now as I write this… Amy will be exactly 14 years old taking into account the time of day she was born, leap days, the fact a year is 365.242199 days long, etc, etc, etc…. So if you know her, be sure to say Happy Birthday and stuff. Happy Birthday Amy!! As I type it is less than 5 minutes until I will be exactly 38 years old, including all the effects of the fact that a year is not an even number of days, leap days and all that. It will happen at about 1:55 UTC… 6:55 PM Pacific, 9:55 PM Eastern, etc. Of course, I already have my present. This all just means I am officially old. |
