You know, this month I actually almost FORGOT about the top ten. Usually, for days and days before the end of the month, I'm thinking about the fact that I have to do it, and am trying to figure out exactly how and when I'll fit it into my schedule. Last night though, as the deadline became less than 24 hours away, I just suddenly remembered, and gasped in horror that if I had not remembered for a few hours longer, I might have in fact missed the top ten deadline.
But, in fact, that is only a nightmare, which shall not come to be. I did indeed remember the top ten, I counted up the emails last night, and I will be releasing the results in plenty of time. So here goes...
First of all, one major thing to note... and I couldn't believe this at first and had to check it twice. I could have sworn it wasn't true, but it is! The person who wins this months top ten is a person who first made the list on the VERT FIRST list back in October 1996. This person has been off and on the list (mostly on) ever since. BUT HAS NEVER WON. Until this month. This month, for the very first time, Chris Morrow comes in first place in the monthly email contest. Congratulations Chris!!!
Other than that, fairly normal month, with a bit fewer than normal people sending high volumes, but not bad.
