Heather/DavidBrooks stream was interesting – all the values she cites from her parents (one of them my cousin) fit our family perfectly – though I might not have thought of some of them – Puritans were originally though pretty rigid and nasty and punitive – am currently reading a biography of one of the witch trials judges – understanding other points of view was not a strong point in the 17th century
Pilgrims were the heritage she claimed, of course, not Puritans. They WERE different -possibly less harsh – but in the end they also joined forces in this new difficult thing of colonizing a new land.
