Yeah, I know, I know. At this point he is coming up fast on 14 months, but I am just now posting the video covering his 11th month. That would be July 14th to August 13th to be specific. And yes, it is almost November. I just haven’t had much time, ya know? Anyway, late as it is, this is a good month, covering the time when Alex figured out how to walk. Fun stuff.
For those you prefer it, here is the YouTube link.
This is one of the cutest videos I have ever seen!!! Awesome!!!! Go ALEX!!!! And Amy too. Where would he be without her! :)

‎@GWR: I’m just using iMovie on my Mac to put together the videos. It is pretty quick and easy. The hard part isn’t the mechanics of it, it is picking what to put in and what to leave out! Even so, I do a horrible job, since 10 minutes is really long for anybody other than me to watch! :-)
The high speed is just one of the things iMovie lets you do. You can speed up or slow down the video. In these cases, I had what I thought were cute segments of him starting to walk and such, but they were many many minutes long. So… they got sped up. A little crazy looking, but fun. :-)

@KWM: We were just buying that little blue bin to take home to use for storing some of his toys, but he insisted on pushing it around the store. All in all he pushed it for almost 30 minutes, all over the Target. He would stop, look at things, then keep going. He was having a blast. So we got him the little mini shopping cart, which he also really liked.
Now, those videos were from when he needed something like that to push in order to walk upright. Once he could actually walk without support, such things were less necessary. But we took him to the store yesterday, and he still pushed his cart for a little while. Then he parked it and just started wandering around without it. :-)

I love that you speeded it up… being a new grandma, I don’t mind watching hours of videos of the little ones in regular motion, but think it’s a good idea for others who aren’t that absorbed with little ones to get fast motion.

Meaning I have hours of video of Annie’s early months… interesting to me… but I’m not sure that everyone would have the same appreciation. :)

@GWR: Yeah, I know even the ten minutes is way longer than the vast majority of even the small number of people who regular check out the stuff on my blog would watch. I’m going to do the 12th month video in the same way, 10 minutes of highlights. But for everything after that, I’ll just be posting short snippets when there is something interesting.

I know what you mean… My video of Annie rolling over was actually quite lengthy and I still didn’t feel like I shortened it enough to post on FB (for one thing it takes forever to upload). But it would be fun to see the whole process in just a short amount of time. I keep seeing things here and there that catch my interest, how did they do that, and it always seems to be related to a Mac. Will definately need to consider that when it’s time for a new computer. Isn’t it great though that we can record these moments (full length regular speed or sped up) of our little one’s accomplishments with such great technology and with such ease. And not having to pay a fortune for film/developing for the cameras.

Very very true! I know I’d certainly have much much less if I was working with film cameras and an old tape (or film!) based video camera!
