I like the idea of structuring the show in segments. I don’t particularly care for shows that rigidly force every topic into 1 segment. Let’s say you break the show into 10 5-minute segments, with the remainder of the time dedicated to your ads, interludes, poem, etc.
I wouldn’t then insist that you wedge a discussion of the current healthcare plans into a single 5-minute segment. Rather, spread it across segments. Use the breaks as a time to recover and figure out how to recover for the next 5-minute segment.
I don’t know that 5 minutes is the right time. Y’all are talkative. Maybe the segments need to be longer.
Yeah, maybe 6 10 minute segments instead of 4 15 minute segments would do the trick. It would force a little more pacing on them. For most topics, one segment could be enough, but for big ones maybe we do two. Dunno. I’ll chat with Ivan before we record the next show.
