Someone apparently found this post I made when filling out my primary ballot earlier this year. This person emailed me yesterday to know that they are writing me in for Washington Supreme Court Position #7. I’ll probably end up voting for myself again in the general election as well, since the person on the ballot still has no competition. So I’ll have a whole TWO VOTES! My nefarious plan to take over the whole world takes another step forward! :-)
Which reminds me, time is short. I need to start work on my general election ballot shortly.
It all depends on how you count votes. The state won’t actually initiate a new tally for you, because you’re not a declared write-in candidate. Instead, you’ll be recorded simply as a write-in.
Could be worse. I was going to write myself in for President, since I can’t see any way to bring myself to vote for anyone on the ballot. In California, it won’t even be counted as a write-in vote, because I didn’t declare. It would just be one of those “stray marks” everyone’s warned against when filling out optical scan machines.
Damn the state! Trying to slow down my march to power!
