As of when I am writing this, there are no hits at all on Google for the word “Fishalump”. I don’t know why, but I have periodically been checking this for about a year. Maybe a little bit more. I don’t know what it means, other than occationally I have a strong urge to just say “Fishalump” a few times. Maybe even yell it. I have been meaning to post something about it for a long time.
I think this is an appropriate time. This is my 500th post since this site adopted a blog format. Woo! 500 posts!! Since I did those 500 posts over a time period of 647.123 days, that means I have been averaging one post every 1.294 days, or just about once every 31 hours.
OK, not as prolific as some, but more than others. I wish I was writing and posting more. Every single day I think of at least half a dozen things I want to point out or say here, but most of the time I think of them at times when it is inconvienant or impossible to post, and best intentions aside, I never remember to post them later.
Oh well. Still not too bad.
Guess I’ll see you again in about another 31 hours!
I’ll say three things:
1) fishalump
2) get a blogging add-in for your treo
3) post from the road, take notes, send them on in…
Does this have anything to do with Winnie the Pooh? There’s a character in Pooh-ville called a Heffalump. “Where’s the Heffalump” is one of my daughter’s favorite books.
The way Sam’s mind works, it could indeed be a variation on the spooky friend of the woozel…
Um, I don’t understand…what’s witrh the alien duck ?
You need a better search engine.
I’ve posted from my Treo before. It can be done, but is a pain, so good only for short posts. I do occationally note down what I am thinking about blogging but don’t have time to, but then the moment passes, and by the time I do have time, I don’t feel like it any more.
Nothing to do with Winnie.
Woozle!!!
Duck Duck Goose!
There are a couple more fishalumps now.
I have just searched Google for “fishalump”. This is because we have two fishalumps, which are actually two mini Care Bears we got at McDonalds last year. For some reason we christened the orange one Fishalump – or rather, my then 5 year-old son did. We couldn’t think of a better name for the lime-green one, so they are both Fishalump.
When my son suggested this as a name, just before bedtime, we giggled and chuckled for a very long time – it was such a funny name!
We moved abroad last year. I have just found the two Fishalumps in a box and my son is so pleased to see them! (ie now just 7 yr old with two mini Care Bears…) – but it’s the NAME that’s so fun.
There is indeed something magical about the name fishalump. It is ugly yet endearing. A rather weird combination of sounds.
I shall come to the optimistic conclusion that you (and I have no idea who you are, I just registered to post this) and my son are both of the class “genius fishalumpus rex”.
Hi fishalump family! It is great to know there is someone else out there with some knowledge of fishalumps!
Fishalump friends, UNITE!
